Ah, I had it all planned. Buy a new sailboat- a thirty-five foot speedy model with a two man crew. I was never fond of steering even when I had a boat. And- a new bass boat with an excellent professional bass fisherman on call to guide me- and drive it of course. New house with all the latest comforts. Green powered too. Windmill in the yard and solar panels, all that good stuff. An apartment in NY, decent, not too flashy. Don’t need a new car yet, so that could wait.
And then there was the rest of the money. Gifts to family and friends would take up part of it, but there was just so much money. I had an answer though. Set up a charity. My kids are lawyers, managers and planners- they could run it very well.
Ah, the planning was so sweet. But then of course, the bubble burst. The winning ticket was sold in the Baltimore vicinity. I live in Ct.
Oh, by the way- did I say I write fiction? It might have helped if I had bought a ticket 🙂
